As a stay at home mom, fashion is usually not the first thing we think about. For me, most of the time it’s the absolute last thing on my mind. I am in no way a fashionista, but I’ve found easy ways to make it seem like you put some effort into getting dressed even if that’s far from the case!
I wanted to take a moment to let you know that this site uses affiliate links, and this post may include some of those.
These easy mom outfits can help you look put together, boost your self-esteem, and won’t break the bank!
What’s an easy mom outfit?
An easy mom outfit is one that is easy to wash, easy to wear, comfortable, and doesn’t require much maintenance. You can mix and match it with other things in your closet easily, and don’t have to worry about the kids ruining it one way or another.
Clothes that fit the description of “easy mom outfit” are the cornerstone of stay at home mom fashion!
The Best Stay At Home Mom Fashion Finds In 2021
Here are the clothes I’m loving the most as a stay at home mom this year. My personal look is comfy and cozy and fresh out of bed meets sleek and beautiful. Or something like that!
1. Jeggings
I love these jeggings because they are super comfortable yet look like regular jeans. I like leggings, yoga pants and sweatpants alot, but I wouldn’t say they help with looking put together. Jeggings make a great change in pace and can help you to look like you actually put some thought into your outfit!
2. Stretchy Jeans
These Wax jeans are super comfy and I fell in love as soon as I put them on! I just recently bought these and I’m tempted to buy more pairs. They come in several colors and I want to own them all!
These stretchy jeans are super comfy and the pair I received was true to size and fit perfectly. However, while it gets tons of positive reviews, some of the reviewers have mentioned they had issues with sizing inconsistencies.
Thankfully, Amazon makes it super easy to return should you have an issue, and some reviewers kept trying until they found their perfect fit! To me it’s totally worth a little hassle to have great jeans that fit well and are so soft and comfortable!
3. Simple, Comfortable Blouses
These comfortable blouses are perfect if you want a well-put-together look. As a stay at home mom, it’s easy to shy away from dressing up, but it can do so much for your confidence and it’s an easy way to put a smile on your face!
Don’t shy away from looking dressy now and then, even if you’re just running to the supermarket or going to the zoo! As long as your clothes are comfortable, there’s no reason not to be the goddess you are!
4. Tunic Tops
Tunic tops are super comfortable and classy. They’re comfy and easy to slip on, making them the perfect addition to your stay at home mom wardrobe. Here are some of my favorites!
It’s probably pretty obvious that I really love the tunic tops! I find them fashionable and comfy, and they’re great at hiding mom pooches and muffin tops! The one below is perfect for nursing mamas! Keeping warm and looking stylish while breastfeeding? Score!
4. T-shirt Dresses
I don’t wear dresses very often since becoming a mom, especially if I’m not going to a wedding, funeral, graduation or something of the sort. Mostly because sometimes kids do crazy things…
But I always include a few because sometimes you feel like dressing up a bit flirty. And these T-shirt dresses will make you feel somewhat like your pre-baby self!
5. Sweaters
Cute sweaters make the perfect items to round out your stay at home mom fashion wardrobe. I personally prefer nice, big, comfortable pieces such as this one because I always somehow end up also having to use my sweaters for my son. Ponchos are perfect for this, and makes it simple to look a little bit fancier!
A beautiful drape front cardigan in a very vibrant color can quickly and easily kick your easy mom outfit up a notch. You’ll feel like a million bucks while turning heads left and right!
6. Comfy Shoes
Comfy shoes are a must! I used to wear heels pretty often but nowadays I’m mostly a flip-flop kinda gal. It’s easy to do that since I’m in South Florida. But once in a while, it’s nice to actually wear shoes like an adult, but I’ve still got to be comfy!
Here are some that I really love:
Final Thoughts
With even a few pieces of these awesome stay at home mom fashion finds, you’ll be able to put together super simple, comfortable, extremely easy mom outfits. Dressing up a little will allow you to take care of the kids and their needs while not feeling like a frumpy shadow of who you used to be.
Since revamping my wardrobe, I’ve felt much more “human,” if that makes sense. It’s like a super simple form of self-care. I feel like I’m ready to wake up and take on the day.
And sometimes that feeling is all we need as moms!
